Tracy | Matthew {new york, ny}

You might remember Tracy and Matt’s Love Story that was posted a couple months back.  They told the story of how they met, what they loved about each other, and remarked how they couldn’t wait to see the entire wedding day come together…

Classic.  Elegant.  Timeless.  These are the three words that I use to describe Tracy and Matthew’s wedding day.  No detail was overlooked.  With the combination of Tracy (an interior designer), Matt (an artist who designed the logo for the wedding) and Adrienne (wedding coordinator extraordinaire with Bespoke Affairs), the wedding was a guaranteed home run for design.  The whole wedding was classic 1930s New York and made Ian and I miss our times living there.  Everything was impeccable.  From the cake, to the dress, to the venue, to Tracy and Matt’s Foxtrot…  Elegance personified.  I could go on and on about this wedding, but the video speaks for itself.  Enjoy!

This wedding highlight film also showcases our new Elite Edit.  Brand new for 2011!

    That was … I am trying to think of something that doesn’t sound cliche or cheesy, but anyway, BREATHTAKING and amazing! What style all around. Bravo you guys.

  2. Adrienne

    No words! Hands down best video ever. You guys killed it. 100% captured the essence of the night. You two are now (um…have always been) my favorite video duo. Well done.

Kori | Mark {santa barbara, ca}

The word of the day was comfortable.  Everything felt comfortable about this day.  Kori was very comfortable as she got ready, surrounded by all her bridesmaids.  Mark was very  comfortable watching the final game of the World Cup with all of his groomsmen.  They both didn’t seem stressed or nervous in the slightest.  Kori + Mark have been friends for years when they realized that the partner in life that they were searching for was right in front of them.  So why would this day be anything but comforting to them.

They got married in beautiful Santa Barbara overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  And after quite a gloomy morning, the marine layer appropriately burned off just as we went off to take some photos.  Their reception took place on the rooftop of the Canary Hotel overlooking downtown Santa Barbara while the sun politely set and gave us some amazing back lighting to work with.  Kori, Mark, and their guests really know how to dance!  Everyone there was so happy to be at the party with them and showed their support with their dance moves!

Jackie + Jamison Featured: Adornments Flowers & Finery

You might remember the emotional highlight film for Jackie + Jamison’s wedding.  Remember them?  The beautiful couple whose love is so passionate it could probably move mountains…Yes you remember!  Well Laurel White over at Adornments: Flowers & Finery has featured their wedding on her blog.  Let me just mention something about Laurel White.  If you are getting married on the Central Coast of California, you MUST call her.  Her flowers are to die for.  She designs flowers that look like they are straight from the catalog of Anthropologie.  But her coordination skills are impeccable.  Thanks to Laurel, Jackie and Jamison’s wedding was run flawlessly and without any stress.  Honestly…call Laurel…you will not regret it.

Laurel said a lot of kind words about us.  She also did a great job of articulating the benefit of having a film.  Here’s what she said:

“Wherever there is a celebration of devotion, filming it is an everlasting way to relive it.  Beautiful moments that you don’t even realize happened are there forever.  Tears of joy – there’s nothing more pure.  I rejoice when couples choose to have their wedding captured by a talented videographer. Couture Motion Wedding Films took on this wedding with passion – interested to know every detail.  I am very impressed.”

    You took my breathe away…. amazing! What a gift -

Kaelyn | Trevor {kalispell, mt}

Megan usually writes the posts for our weddings, but since she is the bride’s sister and was the matron of honor for this wedding, the task falls to me.  For obvious reasons, this day was more meaningful than most for us.  I’ve known Kaelyn for years and I am positive that I have never seen her more happy or more beautiful than she was that day.  There was a glow in her eyes and a smile always on her lips.  The weather had been rather dreary leading up to the wedding, but on the day it was perfect.  The mountains in the background popped and the grass seemed more vibrant than usual.  The pace of life in Montana is a little slower than California, and that helped us all appreciate the day and the moment that much more.

Megan’s family is a very tight group that loves to love.  On this day they all came out to celebrate Kaelyn’s love and add to it.  It was the perfect place, the perfect time, and the perfect group of loved ones.  At first it felt like a challenge to shoot the wedding without my partner, but by the end of the day I felt blessed to have been able to capture this experience.  So I would just like to thank Kaelyn and her family, my family, for letting me be witness to the kind of love that we all aspire to feel.

    So proud of my baby sis! This was such a beautiful day and this video is only a fraction of how amazing it was. So honored to have been a part of this day.
    Special shout outs to Aileen at Diamond B Weddings (for being a DREAM venue to work with), Kelly at Frontier Florist (for making bouquets that literally brought me to tears), and Kristen at John’s Angels Catering (for being as organized as myself-if not more, for providing the most amazing food, and an overall DREAM to work with).

Patrick + Ashlee {bakersfield, ca}

Patrick and Ashlee are two super cute people who are perfect for each other.  They are both so easy going and such nice people.  Honestly from the second you meet them you feel like you can just kick back and hang out, despite the fact that they are Red Sox Fans.  We won’t hold it against them.  On the day of the wedding, Patrick and Ashlee were so stoked to be marrying each other. Patrick looked so calm and collected as he waited for the ceremony to begin.  Ashlee looked beautiful in her dress that she snagged from the Little White Dress Bridal Boutique.  It was completed with a cathedral length veil that had lace trimming from her mother’s wedding dress (talk about a perfect ’something old’).  In my mind their ’something new’ was their baby Annabella, who is still on the way.  Congrats you guys!!!  Their day was fantastic and we hope you enjoy their story.

    You guys did an amazing job! (we new you would) The day was such a blurr, and watching this makes us feel like we get to relax and enjoy it again on a whole different level. We never get tired of watching our beautiful daughter and new son enjoy their very special day!

Jackie + Jamison {santa margarita, ca}

We didn’t meet Jackie + Jamison in person until we filmed their interviews in April.  Right away when I met them, I could tell that they had the kind of love for one another that only seemed possible in stories.  There always seemed to be a smile waiting to burst out because they could not contain their feelings for one another any longer.  They are two of the most genuine, kind, lovable, in the moment people you will ever meet.  When we filmed their interviews, both of them had me crying.  Their stories they told were so moving.  But more than that, what really got me was how appreciative they were.  They knew how lucky they were and to see them bask in that love was overwhelming.  I said to Jackie at the end of her interview that it’s people like her who teach me how to love better.  By witnessing Jackie and Jamison’s love for each other, I’m reminded of how important it is to appreciate a “world stopping” love.  Every moment of every day.  Ian and I both feel lucky and honored to document their love.
The wedding day was filled with energy and excitement from the moment it started.  There was a feeling in the air that made you want to dance.  There is no other way to explain it.  Every moment of this day felt like a moment frozen in time.  It was just…awe inspiring.  We wish that we had three more cameras there to capture it all.  Every detail was perfect.  Santa Margarita Ranch is such a cool location.  (Had I known about this 4 years ago, this is where I would have chosen to get married.)  Jackie was a vision of perfection in her heart stopping San Patrick Dress.  Jamison could not have looked more handsome in his gorgeous suit.  The icing on the cake…was the cake.  Jackie + Jamison call each other ‘Moo’…wait until you see that cake…
Honestly I could go on and on about them.  But instead I will cease my typing and let you enjoy their wedding highlight film.  Without further ado….Jackie + Jamison!

    What a wonderful video. I was there and I still see so much more looking back on that day. You did a great job of showing the feelings and the emotions that both of the kids had the day of their weeding. Our son and new daughter-in-law showed us all how love should be and feel every day of our marriage.

Jackie + Jamison {spotlight: the interview}

Okay, let me just say that Jackie + Jamison are some very special people.  I’m not even going to start about how amazing they are…I will simply wait until we have their highlight film ready for the blog posting about that.  But I will say that they are all heart.  They have so much love for each other and it showed in their STELLAR interviews.  So much so that we felt like we needed to dedicate a special spotlight on just their interviews.  Please enjoy the sweetness of these two awesome people.  (And stay tuned for their wedding highlight film in a few days…)

A Love Story Featured: Scott Andrew Studio

Featured again!  We are  stoked to have Tracy + Matt’s Love Story featured on Scott Andrew’s Blog.  Scott Andrew is an AMAZING photographer in Northern California.  Something we always like to do once we book a wedding is check out our couple’s photographer.  One look at Scott’s work…and we were left with our jaws on the floor.  His work is so elegant and we can’t wait to work with Scott in New York City at Tracy + Matt’s wedding at Capitale next month.  Thanks Scott!

Matt + Tracy: A Love Story {new york, ny}

First of all Matt and Tracy are very cool people. They are both hilarious and fun to hang out with. We basically spent the whole day with them while we shot and really got to know them. And trust us…they’re good peeps.  It is going to be a total blast to film their wedding in July. With their collective creativity and dedication to quality, the wedding will be beyond stunning and it will really give us an incredible background to tell their stories against.

This is a new short film the Couture Motion is beginning to offer. The Love Story. It’s a short film that chronicles your relationship with each other and shows the love that you have for one another in action! It’s an incredible way to give your guests and your friends the whole story that has led up to the wedding, making the actual marriage even more meaningful for those who are close to you. The short film is filmed and edited prior to the wedding so that it can be used for Save The Dates or simply a great trailer for the wedding day.  If you’re interested in your own Love Story, be sure to contact us!
